How to choose the correct dress size

Let’s be honest, buying clothes especially a wedding dress online can be a scary process. We’ve all seen the knock-offs that arrive when you think you just ordered your dream dress. Yikes!  No worries, we’ve taken the guesswork out of it. Please review our sizing charts and tips below so you can be sure you ordered the right gown for your special day. You’ll thank us later :-)

1.  If at all possible, have an alterationist or trusted friend take your measurements so that you can make sure you are measuring correctly.  Do NOT take your own measurements! Just trust us on this one.  We get the measurements from you just to make sure you are choosing the best size for each designer.  The gowns are NOT specially ordered for your size so expect some alterations!
2.  Wedding Gowns are almost always going to be a larger size than what your normal dress size is.  Sorry, that's the just the way it goes!  If you are in between sizes, it is always wise to go up a size and then have an alterationist make any needed adjustments.
3.  Keep in mind the type of dress you are ordering.  If it is a form fitting gown, focus on the hip measurement to make sure it is as accurate as possible.  For ball room gowns or A-line gowns, focus on the bust and waist measurements.

Bust Measurement: This is not your bra size. We recommend measuring in the bra you will wear with your dress.  Measure the largest part of your bust making sure it is snug but not tight.

Waist Measurement: Measure the smallest part of your waist usually just above your belly button

Hip Measurement: Measure the fullest part of your hips and butt

Esila bridal return policy (oNLINE oNLY)

Our goal is for you to love the dress you bought and have a stress-free buying experience. When your gown first arrives, don’t panic! We recommend steaming your gown to make sure it looks fabulous (aka: as pictured) and also realize that it has not yet been altered.  When your gown arrives it will include a guide for unpacking your dress and suggestions for steamers, etc.  Never use an iron!

If it is still not working out or your plans have changed, please review our policies below. Your happiness is our goal but please be aware that we must recover some of our costs since the designers do not take back the dresses. A 50% restocking fee will automatically be deducted upon the return of your gown.

1.  This should go without saying but the gown must be unworn, undamaged, and in brand new condition with tags still attached.
2.  The return needs to be initiated within 2 business days after the gown is delivered to you. Upon approval, your return must be in the mail within 3 business days.
3.  The buyer will need to cover the cost for return shipping and insurance as Esila Bridal will NOT be responsible if the dress somehow disappears or gets damaged shipping it back.
4.  Any gown that has been altered or was a special order cannot be returned.
5.  Any clearance gowns are non-returnable and all sales are final.
What Our Brides Have to Say
Just had an appointment with Esila Bridal yesterday and I just have to say how AWESOME it was.  There were so many options to choose from and Alise was genuine and so very helpful. Modest gowns are hard to come by and this was exactly the place for me. Not only are the dresses beautiful but they are reasonably priced! - Hannah
